still looking for a Halloween costume idea? zipper face seems very do-able and it’s also terrifying.
oh hey look, another use for C47s.
must make this summer.
Lens Cap Pouch Tutorial
totally making this over the summer. yea you can always stick your lens cap in your pocket, but i have a fear of it falling out (and me not knowing) or sitting on it. but of course, no velcro please.
a new terrarium, this time using an old Newman’s Own salsa jar. there’s a calla lily leaf, some green onion, and a tiny clump of shamrocks in there. and of course, moss. will be interesting to see what happens to these plants…will they thrive or will they die?
current state of the terrarium, which looked like this not long ago. it’s since become a jungle of three leaf clovers! should i give it a trim?
made a stuffed animal as part of my Christmas present for my bff. the bunny ears are a little wonky, but i’m attributing that to quirk.
made another terrarium a few days ago from an empty small glass bottle that originally held herbs. this one just has moss in it.
this is the original terrarium i created on Oct. 20. for some reason, the 2 plants i had put in there rotted away and the tiny three leaf clovers have thrived and sprouted all over the place.
these (and subsequent pics) were taken with the new Canon 50D. i’m still in the process of figuring it out, but i hate that the factory default settings give me photos that are so washed out. i’ll get to playing with the exposure, white balance, etc. soon enough.
found an excellent tutorial here, and i really wanted to make a diy sun jar, but the stores around my area didn’t carry the jars/type of solar light. i’ll prevail in gathering the supplies one of these days and will eventually construct a sun jar of my own.
